This workshop centers on the contrast between the ego’s and the Holy Spirit’s versions of empathy. The ego’s empathy expresses its viciousness that masquerades as loving concern. It is the triumph of weakness, for it depreciates the power of the mind that has chosen to be victimized. The true empathy of the Holy Spirit reflects the mind’s choice to identify with His perception and strength, which allows this vision of all-inclusive love to be extended to victims and victimizers alike.
