Dr. Jeffrey Seibert and Dr. Rosemarie LoSasso
The focus of this class is on the role of the past in the ego’s strategy to keep us mindlessly locked in a bodily identity where forgiveness remains inaccessible. As Jesus tells us: “The past is the ego’s chief learning device, for it is in the past that you learned to define your own needs and acquired methods for meeting them on your own terms” (T-15.V.2:1). [seems to begin at birth] How this manifests in our everyday lives is explored and discussed. The discussion is also directed toward Jesus’ healing correction of the ego’s obsession with the past, in which he asks to join with “the savior’s vision” that “sees no past in anyone at all” (T-31.VII.13:2).
