In reflecting on some situations involving Helen and his parents, where he had to make a decision about whom to be with, Kenneth has shared that there really was no conflict, because he was “spending the day with Jesus.” This statement can be seen as a specific formulation of the answer Jesus gives to the question from the manual, “How should the teacher of God spend his day?” (M-16): “For the advanced teacher of God, then, this question is superfluous. …he keeps in constant contact with the Answer” (M-16.1:8-9). This class explores what it means to spend the day with Jesus, with a consideration of the very practical implications of having this as a goal for ourselves as we begin our day, throughout the day when we are willing to remember, and as we end our day. For, as Jesus reminds us at the end of the workbook, “You do not walk alone. …and of this be sure; that I will never leave you comfortless” (W-ep.6:6,8).
